Each year in Surrey, the High Sheriff Youth Awards distributes some £40,000 to projects that are actively helping to reduce crime and bad behaviour – and to make their communities stronger and safer.

We’re illustrating just a few of the awards that have been made in the previous year. They show the very wide range of activities that give young people places to go and things to do, whoever they are and wherever they live. Along the way, those who take part help reduce crime, learn masses – and often have a lot fun!
