Eikon

Eikon is a Surrey based charity that has been working in local Surrey communities for over two decades, providing long-term support to some of the County’s most vulnerable young people. Their vision is to develop happy, thriving and resilient young adults who make a positive contribution to society. Eikon is proactive and aims to get involved before problems escalate. They provide intensive, unconditional and personal support for young people, wherever, whenever, and for as long as they need it, whatever their needs.

Eikon delivers activities that contribute to a young person’s mental health and emotional wellbeing and also improves outcomes for young people by training professionals to deliver their programmes. Eikon currently works with over 2,500 young people per annum, through School Programmes, Youth Centres and Community Outreach Programmes, local neighbourhoods and with families to make sure they are there when young people need them.

The High Sheriff praised them for their dedication in establishing the Tuesday ‘Bus Shelter’ sessions supported by HSYA. The photograph above was taken at Eikon's Friday Night Project in Camberley, run in partnership with Active Surrey and Surrey Heath Borough Council.
